Need to Know? Yes, you do...

Please read the following from the Wall Street Journal:

It is obvious that little or nothing has changed from the original House version of health care which I read a while ago. None of this is new and this bill is still junk.

In Defense of the Stay-at-home-Mom

"Democratic pundit Hilary Rosen, a political consultant who advises the Democratic National Committee, said on CNN Wednesday night that Ann Romney 'never worked a day in her life.'" (Washington Post, 4/12/12, Michael Katz) Ann Romney who has raised five boys who are all college graduates, gainfully employed, married fathers, "has never worked a day in her life." Wow, where to begin. Hilary Rosen has visited the White House over 30 times and works for the DNC. She has close ties to the Democratic party but was not speaking for the DNC. To their credit, many Democrats have distanced themselves from her comments. But her attitude towards stay-at-home mothers is indicative of how many liberals view us. It is one more glaring indication of their hypocrisy and general hatred towards the principles of conservatism, especially in the realm of women. Let us remember how Sarah Palin was treated by liberal women for NOT being a stay-at-home mom. Just one small exampl...

The Postal Service, Ballots and Trump

My older brother and I are thirteen months apart. His favorite pastime when we were young was pushing my buttons; I always reacted exactly the way he wanted me to. I cannot count the number of times my mom told me, "If you will stop reacting the way he wants you to, it won't be fun any more and he'll stop doing it." I never could make myself stop reacting and thankfully, we both grew up. Watching the Democrats react to Trump would be hysterically funny if it weren't so blooming dangerous to the future of our country. Trump plays the mainstream media/"moderates"/Democrats/Never-Trumpers like a Stradivarius and they always give him the satisfying hissy fit he wants. Case in point, the postal service and mail-in ballots. Let's talk about the Postal Service and then we'll talk about voting by mail. A) The Postal Service has been losing money like a sieve for decades. Because they are a government-run entity, not a private entity, they lose money with...

No Such Thing as a Free Ride

There are two maxims that have held true for time in memoriam, "Nothing in life is free" and "You get what you pay for". Nowhere are these two principles more true than when it comes to health care. Politicians are selling "free" health care to the American people, knowing that the word "free" will tickle our ears. It sounds SO good. But in real life, medical care is expensive. It won't stop being expensive just because the government mandates it to be so. "So let it be written, so let it be done." (From the Ten Commandments--ask Pharoah how that worked out for him.) Let's delve into these two ideas. Nothing in life is free: I touched on this in my last post, but there are lots of people that get "free" health care in American right now. (Just because I'm bringing this up doesn't mean that I'm necessarily against it, but we have to deal in realities here.) The government has mandated that all patients that ...
